Material: 18K Gold-Plated (0.3 μm) over medical-implant grade ASTM F136 titanium base. Used in medical surgical implants worldwide. 4 times lighter than gold. Hypoallergenic. Nickel-free. Lightweight. Suitable for wearers with sensitive skin.                                                  

Care Instructions:

Shower-friendly. Apply on makeup, hairspray, perfume, and lotions before wearing gold-plated pieces.  Minimise or avoid sweat, ocean, chlorinated pool water, harsh cleaning chemicals for better longevity of the plated-gold. Titanium base does not tarnish, does not rust, does not react to saline, sweat or water. If oil or dirt accumulates, wash with mild soap and wipe dry with a soft cloth. 

Average lifespan of titanium base : A lifetime. Average lifespan of gold plating before it wears off : 6months to 2 years depending on how well you take care of the hoops.
